The Bosun Hotel - Monkstown (Cork)

Fine views across the river, especially at night, create a nice backdrop. The room features a large single and double bed.

Some bathroom fixtures need fixing, like the handle on the toilet cistern and the lack of non-slip mats or wall grips in the shower. Breakfast had peculiar cereal servings already in bowls, which could confuse those wanting more than one option.

The hotel had a magnificent position, next to the bay.

Location just next door to the bar / restaurant downstairs, car ferry and the harbour/ river. Also, by the harbour...

the hotel was quirky, we 100% recommend. the accommodation was clean, the room was perfectly comfortable and compact. it offered exceptional service and excellent food too. furthermore, free wi-fi provided throughout the property was appreciated.

The rooms feel cramped!!! Decor and furnishings definitely need updating!!! Inconsistent shower pressure.

The bathroom window faced directly onto a carpark, how lovely! I expected some sort of room upgrade for such inconveniences, but not even a chocolate on the pillow. I just couldn't give this place a good review.

The room was perfectly clean and cozy, with a beautiful view over the harbour. Breakfasts were excellent, and the staff were genuinely helpful.

Oh, those bagels! Fresh and crazy good, right? The Irish breakfast was great too, with a generous spread served efficiently. The bar area invited cozy chats over a few pints and the fine views made every bite taste even better.

Now, a quick moan, 15 euros for a beer and a glass of wine seemed a bit steep, eh? Plus, the shower could use some non-slip mats and wall grips.

The sea view was a real highlight.

I stayed at a charming hotel in monkstown, where i enjoyed the lovely boardwalk walks and the nearby rory gallagher gravesite just under 3 km away made for a beautiful stroll. The friendly staff ensured a fantastic dining experience with an excellent full irish breakfast.

A reliable pick for a brief sojourn in Monkstown with good value. The staff were very attentive and polite . If you enjoy maritime views, opt for a room with a seaview to enhance your experience.

Can't recommend highly enough for a weekend excursion

Charming room, good food with a freshly cooked full Irish breakfast, served efficiently with a beautiful view of the river from the dining area.

Everything exceeded my hopes.

Clean rooms with tv. Free parking was great. No pets allowed was a downside.
